Homebirth Options

We provide complete home birth midwifery services for pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

We provide constitutional homeopathic consultation for all conditions.

We are now also offering birth center services in our new Birth Suite for women who desire a natural birth with little intervention, but who cannot visualize themselves giving birth at home. For more information, go to the Birth Suite section of this site.

We provide childbirth education, lactation consultation, hypnosis for childbirth and more.

Initial Consult Visit
Come meet the midwives free of charge, and visit The Birth Suite. We encourage women to come with their families. Bring a list of questions you may have about homebirth or the protocols we follow. Go to childbirthconnection.org for a list of questions for help in choosing a birth attendant.

Prenatal Visits
Women must have one visit each month until 28 weeks gestation, then more frequently for the rest of the pregnancy. Most women have 11-13 prenatal visits prior to the birth day.

The Birth Day
We are present at the birth as early as desired, and remain there until at least 2 hours after the birth. Rarely there are conditions needing to be monitored longer. You will be attended for as long as is needed to assure mother and baby are doing well.

Postpartum Visits
We visit 2-3 times in the first postpartum week, then 1-2 more times until the 6 week period. We remain in contact much longer than this, and often get visits from moms and babies several more times during the first year and longer.
